Latin American literature is based on the literary creation of the peoples who have a communication in Portuguese or Spanish. History indicates that through the arrival of the Spanish to the New World, a series of literary works were created that correspond to the Latin American literary panorama. At the beginning of the 19th century, a large number of Latin American writers considered the need to write about important events that history had had, such as the independence that could be acquired. This literature was sincere and unromantic because the events it describes dealt with aggressive confrontations and wars.

The next thing that joined the Latin American literature was romanticism, this developed shortly after in a specific way. Then came a satirical realism that lasted very little to start with magic realism.

The importance of Latin American literature, which as art has been a way of expression, of making the history and cultures of these nations known and this has been achieved thanks to the originality of many works by great writers such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Julio Cortazar Among other playwrights, for these reasons Latin America has a very important space in the world of literature today.
