Club Rush 

Hispanic Heritage Month Spirit Week - Celebrated 9/16-9/20

• Monday: Music Day - Game where students can throw a ball in a hole. In each whole will be a music artist. When your ball lands in a music artist you will be informed with that music artist. Such as facts and more!

• Tuesday: Dia de Gemelos (Twin Day) - A table will be set up where students who are dressed up with someone else are going to be able to take pictures together, get to interview with the person they’re dressed up with etc.

• Wednesday: Culture Day - We will walk around with tiny mics interviewing students about their countries.

• Thursday: Throwback Thursday - We will walk around with a tiny mic interviewing about their outfit and decade they choose.

• Friday: Jersey Day - We will be walking around interviewing about their jersey and team they have chosen to wear.

Upcoming programming centered on HHM:

• Play It Forward "Cuba" Initiative - collecting clothing for children less fortunate in Cuba - Oct. 1st - Nov. 30

• Play It Foward "El Salvador" Initiative - collecting soccer gear for children in need - Nov. 30 - Dec. 30

• LIA partnership with Tri County Animal Shelter Community Service Project - 11/2/24

• Latino Life News & Podcast - 1st Episode Release in October featuring Latin America in partnership with Bobcat NewsHHM School Initiative Program: Part 1: "Narratives De La Terra" Latino Literature Project - Rolling out 10/8 - initiative to encourage Latino literature and culture discovery. This initiative kicks off with a Literacy Scavenger hunt  + poem contest followed by a digital Storytelling & Reading Challenge
