LIA Tutoring:
The LIA (Latinos in Action) Verde Elementary Tutoring Program is a partnership between Boca Raton Community High School and Verde K-8 to support bilingual leadership, academic growth, and cultural connection. Through this program, high school students enrolled in the LIA course are trained as peer mentors and tutors. They conduct virtual visits with a select group of Verde Elementary students to empower and encourage students to develop leadership, service, and teaching skills—all while celebrating our shared heritage and giving back to the community. Together, we are building bridges between schools, generations, and cultures—one lesson, one story, and one student at a time.
