X (formerly Twitter) for Teachers
What is X (fomerly Twitter)?
X (formerly Twitter) is a social media platform for sharing. Originally it was limited to 140 characters so the communication had to be to the point. It then expanded to 280 characters with support for pictures, video, and animated gifs. The idea for Twitter was designed for people to share with other people that follow them their passion, ideas, and interest.
For teachers, it is a perfect way to get professional development from other educators from all over the world. Learn about new programs or share new techniques in small size bites. Who has time to sit through a six hour workshop to learn one small technique. Teachers can follow certain areas to learn or generic people. Teachers can start to follow different organizations then find individuals with innovative ideas and can follow them as well.
