International Dot Day

International Dot Day is a global celebration of creativity, courage, and collaboration which began with a teacher, Terry Shay, who introduced his classroom to the book  The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds on September 15h, 2009. The Dot is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”.

The focus is on teaching creativity, one of the 4C's, and the impact it has on students. Celebrate the creativity in your students and yourself by celebrating International Dot Day. This event will be celebrated on September 15 ish or whenever you can teach this lesson. This is a voluntary event where you celebrate the creativity of your students and let them explore making their own dot on the world.
