As of May 5, 2026, the Khan Academy platform has revealed a fresh “Reimagined” look for SDPBC teachers and students. The new interface focuses on transforming the student experience to fully integrate Khanmigo into their learning paths to help with progressing through teacher-assigned lessons. For teachers, the update streamlines daily instruction by delivering actionable insights and automated guidance, allowing them to focus more on creative student support rather than manual reporting.
To support this transition, the Department of Educational Technology hosted two live-virtual Title IV trainings with Khan Academy on May 5 and May 14, 2026. These sessions provided a guided tour of the new "Reimagined" platform along with a look at the new Khanmigo. A recording of these sessions can be found below.
More information about the “Reimagined” experience from Khan Academy can be found here.

Student interactions with Khanmigo are monitored. Conversations are logged and moderated so that teachers and administrators receive notification flags for unsafe or inappropriate interactions.
