In early January, our three chess teams had the incredible opportunity to compete at Sandown Primary in the East Sussex Chess Games, where over 50 pupils from five different schools came together for an exciting day of competition. The event was filled with strategy, teamwork, and enthusiasm as our young players put their skills to the test.
Throughout the day, they showcased fantastic games, demonstrating not only their growing expertise but also their dedication to the sport. Every move was a testament to their hard work—carefully planned strategies, smart counterplays, and well-earned victories.
A special highlight was seeing each child proudly receive a medal—a tangible reminder of their achievements. More than just awards, these medals represent the countless hours of practice, perseverance, and love for the game that have brought them this far.
We couldn’t be prouder - not just of their results, but of the sportsmanship, determination, and enthusiasm they displayed. Watching them develop their skills and confidence has been an absolute joy, and we know this is just the beginning of their chess journey.
A heartfelt thank you for your continued support in nurturing your child’s passion. Your encouragement has played a key role in their progress and success.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to build on this momentum with more practice, tournaments, and opportunities for our players to shine. Here’s to a bright future for our chess champions!
Stay tuned for more updates, and let’s keep celebrating the love of chess together.
