OUSD HOTM

Harvest of the Month (HOTM) is an initiative designed to celebrate the bounty and diversity of fruits and vegetables grown in California, and to encourage students and school communities to eat a variety of nutritious produce. Each month, we highlight a seasonally and locally sourced fruit or vegetable on our menus, through recipe videos, newsletters, and more!

2024 Harvest of the Month (HOTM) Calendar.pdf
The OUSD HOTM program sets out a series of items that align with Bay Area seasonality and educational objectives. These 2024 calendars are provided thanks to Alameda County Department of Public Health Nutrition Services. In some months the food item featured in these calendars will be different from the item that OUSD will be highlighting through the school meal program and education programs. Please prioritize the OUSD HOTM item. We encourage you to also make connections to the items in the calendar.
Months when items differ: March, June, July, August, October, November, December
