Knowing Teachers v.2 (KT) - Designed to support relationship building between a teacher & mentee both early in the year and throughout, the Knowing Teachers tool seeks to help mentors gain insights into a teacher's purpose, experiences, styles, and preferences.
Knowing Students (KS) - Mentors use this tool to help teachers learn more about students' academic, social, and emotional areas for growth.
Coaching Language & Stances - A quick 2-pager with frames for paraphrasing, clarifying, mediational and non-judgmental questions.
Administrator Mentor Collaboration Log (AMCL) - This tool is one way you might capture collaboration between mentor & administrator to align supports for a mentee.
Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) - The ILP is designed to capture the ongoing inquiry work that Mentors & Teachers authentically engage in over the course of the year. The document helps guide the inquiry, allowing mentors and teachers to reflect, set goals and analyze artifacts of teaching and learning aligned to the Oakland Effective Teaching Framework (OETF).
Goal-Setting & Reflection Tool - When working with teachers outside of the Induction program, this goal-setting and reflection tool can support you in establishing OETF-aligned focal areas for your work together throughout the year.

Planning Guide Conversation (PGC) - The PCG is a resource for mentors to collaborate with teachers around analyzing or planning a standards-aligned lesson with the goal of meeting the needs of all learners.
Observation Cycle Tool Template - This template contains all of the components below in one form for ease of use.
I. Pre-Observation Planning Conversation - Use prior to observation to gain greater context and understanding for what a mentor will see, and to clarify what a mentor will observe for.
II. Observation - Gather data using selective scripting or link another observation tool and/or a video of the observed lesson.
III. Post-Observation Reflecting Conversation - Designed to facilitate reflection and analysis of observation, and to support a teacher to consider implications for planning and teaching.
Selective Scripting - A tool that captures real-time dialogue or interactions aligned to an agreed-upon focus for observation.
Focused Peer Observation Tool - This tool is designed to record observations around a specific element of practice during an observation.
Analyzing Student Learning (ASL) - The ASL supports the continuous assessment of teaching and learning through the analysis of artifacts of student learning. The process is designed to help teachers understand the results of standards-based instruction.
