March 30 - April 3

Show what you know! Here are some ways that students can show what they know for the various activities. Write about it, draw a picture, build a model, make a poster, talk about it, make a video, make a slide show, make a book or comic book, come with your own way BE CREATIVE!!! Your teacher would love to see what you are proud of!

Reading/ Language Arts

Read a book...one you have or one on Epic...Read aloud to someone. Take an AR quiz. Go to classlink to access Epic and AR.

Write about your reading: Did you read a fiction or nonfiction book? Fiction: What did you enjoy about your book? During the week write/talk about the characters, setting, theme, and narrator's point of view. Nonfiction: What did you learn? During the week write/talk about the main idea and author's point of view.

Math

Play a game on the Everyday Math site. Go to Classlink and click on ConnectED. Focus on multiplication, addition, or subtraction games this week.

You have $30.00 to spend on each meal for the next week. Pick a meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Use the HyVee or Fareway add to "shop" for food. Make a list of what you are buying. How much did you spend? How much money did you have left?

Science

Listen/Read the book titled Motion. Draw a picture of a toy you have that has motion. Write about the toy's motion. Motion Book

Set up a chain reaction with things you have in your house! Watch the video if you need a reminder!

Social Studies

Click this link and choose a state to "visit." What would you need to bring with you? What landmark could you see while traveling there? Who would you bring with you and why? Which direction do you have to travel from Oskaloosa? Choose a way to share your learning.
