Student Attendance Expectations
Graduating seniors with a minimum of a 4.0 cumulative weighted GPA through the first semester of their senior year may be recognized as honor graduates. In addition to the GPA requirement, an honor graduate must also:
Successfully complete 4 units of each of the following core subject areas for high school credit: English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
Be a good steward of the community by volunteering 100 hours of community service by March 1st of the senior year. Community service is defined as giving of one’s time, effort, and skills without compensation outside of school hours for the purpose of benefiting the community. Services must be completed through a nonprofit organization or local government agency and not be part of a criminal justice sanction. Service hours accumulate throughout a student’s high school career (including summer). Therefore, it is advised students complete a minimum of 25 hours of community service each year with a goal of completion prior to the senior year deadline.
