Petrie Island

Petrie Island is situated in the Ottawa River in the eastern part of the city. It is an island of parkland and recreational areas that has several nearby islands, and the general collection of islands is also called Petrie Island.

“Petrie Island Park is a natural wetland, and an awesome place for fun with family and friends. There is a beach, which is very well maintained. We were there during Canada day and the spectacular fireworks were just cherry on the cake :). There are many trails throughout the island. The island is known for its natural environment. You can drive, bike or even take transit to the island. Totally recommended!!!!!!!!”
