Opinion

From OCV News The Virtual Voice

Here at OCV News: The Virtual Voice, Opinion pieces represent individual student writers' thoughts on matters of the day. They can, at times, be controversial and provocative - provoking strong reactions from readers. This is ok. In fact, it is often the point of journalism to provoke discussion. As a reader, it is ok to take exception to something you read and perhaps even feel motivated to submit a counter-argument. It is through this dialogue that journalism brings out the best in civil society - inviting discussion, debate, and shared dialogue around the issues of the day.

The views shared in Opinion columns within The Virtual Voice are those of the individual authors and should not be taken as representative views of any other individual, group, the newspaper itself, or the school as a whole.
