Week 9

Last week, I had so much fun singing the Butterfly song with you! This week, feel free to continue practicing it!

We are going to learn the difference between our speaking voice and our singing voice.

In music, we use both!

Butterfly, Butterfly

(sung to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle)

Butterfly, Butterfly,

Fly away,

You were a caterpillar yesterday.

Butterfly, Butterfly,

You never stay,

Always flying to a new day.

Butterfly, Butterfly,

Fly away,

You were a caterpillar yesterday.

This week, we will say the "Fuzzy Wuzzy Caterpillar" chant together.

Did we use our singing voice or speaking voice to perform the chant?

Did we use our singing voice or speaking voice when we performed the "Butterfly, Butterfly" song?

Feel free to perform either the Butterfly song or the Caterpillar chant for us too!

The Fuzzy Wuzzy Caterpillar

Fuzzy wuzzy caterpillar in the garden creeps,

He spins himself a blanket and soon falls fast asleep.

Fuzzy wuzzy caterpillar wakes up by and by,

To find he has wings of beauty, changed to a butterfly!

I hope you enjoy this fun song about a Butterfly, a Ladybug, and a Bumblebee!

Did you hear a singing voice or a speaking voice?

What are some of your favorite parts about spring?
