This week, we will learn about fast and slow music by listening and moving!
I also posted the lyrics from last week's "Rainbow" Google Meet below.
You are correct! A Cheetah moves really fast!
Music moves fast too. The word for fast in music is allegro.
How would you move to this piece of music?
I would move allegro (fast)!
Can you see how fast the pianist's fingers are moving?
Does this sound like a Bumblebee to you? How so? What noise does a Bumblebee make?
They move slowly! In music, the word from slow is largo.
How would you move to a largo piece of music?
Take a listen to the piece of music below! It is called "Tortoises" from the Carnival of the Animals!
Feel free to move along and share how you feel when you listen to it!
If you would like, you can also share your responses and thoughts about fast (allegro) music and slow (largo) music here!
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me! BMurphy2@obenschools.org
If you're wearing (color) today, (color) today, (color) today,
If you're wearing (color) today stand up and shout hooray!
Oh Rainbow, Oh Rainbow,
How lovely are your colors,
Oh Rainbow, Oh Rainbow,
How lovely are your colors,
Purple, Red, and Orange too,
Yellow, Green and Blue so true,
Oh Rainbow, Oh Rainbow,
How lovely are your colors
