Registering for MOT and IE Capstone

UPDATE (January 20, 2026): The Capstone Registration Form is now CLOSED for the Spring 2026 semester.

To enroll in the Fall 2026 Capstone course, students were required to submit the registration form by TBA, as noted below.

If you must enroll in the Capstone course this semester in order to graduate, please email TMI@nyu.edu to request assistance. In your message, include both your request and a brief explanation of why the form was not submitted by the stated deadline.

Industrial Engineering and Management of Technology students in their final two semesters of the program will have the opportunity to register for Capstone. This allows for flexibility for students that have commitments in their last semester, such as internships and/or job searching. Please note that Capstone is only offered in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Note that registration for the Capstone course requires permission to register. Students will be given permission upon submission and approval of the Capstone Registration Form. 

In order to receive permission to register for capstone, you must complete the form no later than TBA. In order to receive permission before registration opens, please submit the request by TBA.

The department will be monitoring the number of available seats and the number of enrollment requests to ensure that all students who need to graduate can register for the course. Once upcoming graduates for the current semester have registered, the remaining eligible students may register until the course fills.

Please fill out the form HERE to submit your request to be approved by an Academic Advisor, who will verify that you are eligible and on track to graduate.
