Mission Statement
The graduate academic advisors in the department of Technology Management and Innovation are dedicated to supporting students in their academic and professional development, while also encouraging them to take responsibility for their educational and career goals.
The Role of the Student
learn about degree requirements, including prerequisites, electives, and required courses.
become familiar with how to schedule advising appointments in Connect.
become aware of and adhere to the policies, procedures, and deadlines that guide graduate study (e.g. drop/add, registration, etc.).
initiate meetings and come prepared with questions and concerns to be discussed with an advisor.
communicate with advising staff in a professional manner (in-person, zoom or email).
take ownership of educational decisions and goals.
The Role of the Advisor

explains policies and procedures that guide graduate study (e.g. drop/add, registration, etc.).
refers students to School/University student services and resources, as needed.
provides accurate and timely responses.
maintains confidentiality.
Academic Advisement Appointments
Students navigate to NYU Connect - Advising Appointments where you may select a reason for your appointment. Depending on the topic, you will be directed to Ms. Coker's, Mr. Corrigan's or Mr. Bikram's calendar to select a 30-minute time slot.
Do NOT Gchat advisors with questions. Students should email or schedule an appointment.
