Study Away Scholarships
The Department offers the following scholarships for MCC majors who plan to study at an NYU global site.
The Warren Reicher Global Study Scholarship
The scholarship supports a global study experience for MCC undergraduates who might not otherwise be able to afford one and to encourage global study for students who might not have traveled before. Annually two scholarships (up to $5000 each) are awarded to MCC majors. The funding is applied to the recipient's Spring tuition bill. Evidence of financial need and intent to study away at an NYU site are required.

The GMS Site Ambassador Program
GMS Site Ambassadors are awarded a $1000 stipend to organize community building events for their GMS cohort, publish social media stories about their academic experiences abroad, and advise their peers. Two awards are presented each semester. Eligible for GMS students only. Contact Rachel Listinsky for more information.
The GMS Research Fund
The Global Media Scholars Research fund supports self-directed student work related to student research inside and outside of the classroom. Each semester Global Media Scholars can devise a research or media project and propose a budget to support their work. Students can apply for funding to kick start a creative project, purchase books, cover travel and fees to attend a conference, or to help offset an unpaid internship. The funding level and number of awards presented varies, and is dependent on the submission pool and amounts requested. Eligible for GMS students only. Contact Rachel Listinsky for more information.
Steinhardt Global Scholarships
The Steinhardt Office of Global Affairs offers funding for students accepted to Steinhart Global's short-term study abroad programs.
NYU Global offers need-based and merit-based abroad scholarships and grants for students studying away at an NYU Global Academic Center.
There are many opportunities for funding your study away outside of NYU.
