1. Check for Holds on your account. You will have to meet with your advisor to remove your Advisement Hold. You should not have a medical or financial hold, as these may prevent you from registering.
Immunization hold - To clear this hold, go to the Health Center at 726 Broadway
Financial hold - To clear this hold, go to Financial Aid at 383 Lafayette Street
Advising hold - To clear this hold, make an appointment with me through NYU Connect
Please note: this is the only hold I can "fix." To clear the other holds, please go directly to the locations listed above.
2. Check your unofficial transcript and make sure to check for AP/IB/Transfer credits if you have any. If they are not there, you may have to send your transcripts/scores again. Follow up with me if you think something is missing.
3. Check your registration time. In Albert, go to your Student Center, and on the right side you will see the Enrollment box. Your registration time will be posted there.
4. Make an appointment with me using a Google calendar link that will be shared by Omar.
5. Review the course sequence and advising matrix sheets.
6. Research classes that fit the criteria for the upcoming semester. Be sure to check to confirm there are no time conflicts. This is called "Validating your classes". Find how to do that here.
7. Have back-up options for courses in case you do not get into your first choice.
8. Fill out the Registration Google Form prior to the appointment
9. Make an appointment before your enrollment time. Your hold will be lifted if we come to a conclusion of what classes you will be taking. You should not change your schedule after we make it. If anything changes, you MUST email me.
