Junior Varsity Quiz is a knowledge-based quiz bowl competition for middle school students. The Student Activities Office sponsors a one day tournament in the spring. Tournament winners advance to a playoff bracket that culminates with a championship match and an All Star match at Vegas PBS/Channel 10 KLVX.
In February 2025, 8 middle school and junior high school teams competed in a virtual JVQ league. followed by a one-day tournament on March 29, where 16 Silver League teams competed at Chaparral High School. Silver League Semifinalists were Cadwallader MS, Miller MS,
White MS, and Rogich MS, who competed in playoffs at Vegas PBS.
Congratulations to Miller MS and Rogich MS for competing their way to the Silver League Championship. The final match of the 2024-2025 season was played at Vegas PBS on with Miller MS defeating Rogich MS.
After the championship match, an All-Star match was held with players from various schools in the Silver League. Team Naylor took a victory over Team Parise.
The matches will air on Vegas PBS on Monday nights as follows:
Silver League Semifinal 1: Cadwallader MS vs. Miller MS May 26 at 7:30 p.m.
Silver League Semifinal 2: White MS vs. Rogich MS June 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Silver League Championship: June 9 at 7:30 p.m.
All Star Match: June 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Miller Middle School defeated Hyde Park Middle School, and Rogich MS Middle School defeated Martin Middle School to get to the Blue League Championship match played in April at Vegas PBS. Miller defeated Rogich for the Blue League title. Following that game, Garrett JHS and Lied MS, who earned the opportunity to compete at Vegas PBS by consistently placing in the top of the virtual league matches, competed for the Virtual League Championship. Lied MS won that match.

Blue League Championship: Miller MS vs. Rogich MS- May 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Virtual League Championship: Lied MS vs Garrett JHS- May 19 at 7:30 p.m.
