Student Council
High School Student Council is an organization conducted by students and supervised by adults. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community. In addition to monthly student leadership trainings, the Student Activities Office, in cooperation with the Nevada Association of Student Councils (NASC), sponsors three leadership conferences a year. Middle School Student Council provides students the opportunity to apply effective leadership, decision-making, organizational, and problem solving skills. Middle school student councils may meet daily during Leadership class or weekly as a club. In addition to monthly advisor training, the Activities Office, in cooperation with the Nevada Association of Student Councils (NASC), sponsors a one day leadership conference each year.
