The high school CCSD Chess league runs from September through February. Students have the opportunity to compete in both team and individual competitions.
Middle schools that have a Chess team are invited to Districtwide tournaments throughout the school year. Student Activities co-sponsors chess tournaments and coordinates training for coaches.

An Individual Chess Tournament was held at Del Sol Academy on January 27, 2024. It was an incredible turnout with students from over 20 different High Schools.
Massive Congratulations to Sebastian Barco from Clark for getting 1st place! Another huge congratulations to Jonathan Youanas from A-Tech and Marek Peplinski from Arbor View for getting 2nd and 3rd respectively.
