TEAM INFORMATION

Head Coach: Jacqie Strauch

Jacqie Strauch, formerly Jacqie Storm, began her coaching journey in 2010 when she took on the role of coaching freshmen alongside her high school teammate, Erin Colletti (Cattell), at Sandburg High School. In 2012, Staruch transitioned to the head varsity coaching role at Gordon Tech High School. In 2016, Jacqie Strauch took the helm as the head coach at Schaumburg High School. As of the end of the 2022-2023 season, Strauch has 98 wins and 121 losses.

**Collegiate Playing Career:**

Before her coaching career, Strauch played collegiate basketball for the University of St. Francis. Strauch was a four-year CCAC first-team all-conference player and was honored as the CCAC Freshman of the Year. Her sophomore year saw her reaching the coveted 1,000-point mark, and by the time her college career concluded, she had scored 1,834 points. Strauch was also twice named an Honorable Mention NAIA All-American and holds all the three point records at USF.

**High School Success:**

Strauch's basketball journey started at Sandburg High School where she was a four-time Regional Champion, a two-time Sectional Champion, and a Super Sectional Champion. 

**Personal**

Strauch is an EL teacher and Instructional Coach at Schaumburg High School. 

She resides in Schaumburg with her husband Adam and her four children: Reese, Zach, Peyton, and Sophie. 

SEASON PREVIEW: We are looking forward to our growth on last year’s finish as we are returning 8 seniors and 1 junior from the 22-23 squad. The Saxons are hoping to be a fast paced team with a strong defensive mindset. Earning 19 wins last by year, this team in on a mission to grab 20 wins or more. With senior leadership, Coach Strauch and Coach Sandburg plan on seeing skillful execution and performing under pressure from these Saxons.
