Sleep Habits

Create a sleep routine:

  • Wind down by reading, showering, washing your face, brushing your teeth and/or listening to soft music

  • Go to bed at the same time every night, at a reasonable hour

  • Wake up at the same time every morning, providing plenty of time to get ready for school

    • If you have a hard time waking up in the morning, set an alarm and place it across the room so you need to physically walk over to turn it off.

  • Avoid watching tv or using electronics*

Some Apps to help you fall asleep:

  • Headspace- a meditation app that is also great for sleep

  • Slumber- offers meditation, bedtime stories and background noises to help you fall asleep.

  • Calm- this app has a section for Sleep Stories that are soothing for kids and adults
