Grading through the To Dos
Click the Gradebook tab on the course Navigation bar.
In the Grid view , click the To Do button (top-right).
All assessment items that need grading are listed under Needs Grading. Items that need posting are listed under Needs Posting.
Click the Grade button to begin grading that item. The Flexible Grading window appears. Review the submission.
Assign a grade by typing a value in the grade pill (top-right).
To the right of the student submission will be an area to add feedback to the student. If you don't see it, click on the plus sign inside a square icon.
Click Save if you entered in feedback.
Click another student's name to grade their submission or the X in the top-left corner to return to the To Do area.
If you are ready for students to see their grades and they have not been automatically posted, make sure to click Post Grades.
Grading in the Grid View
Click the Gradebook tab on the course navigation bar.
In the Grid View, identify the column or student you would like to grade.
Items that need grading can be identified by the purple dot. Click on the cell that has the purple dot icon.
The Grade Details panel opens.
Enter a grade in the grade pill or click the View Submission option to view what's been submitted by the student.
The Flexible Grading window appears. Review the submission.
Assign a grade by typing a value in the grade pill (top-right).
To the right of the student submission will be an area to add feedback to the student. If you don't see it, click on the plus sign inside a square icon.
Click Save if you entered in feedback.
Click another student's name to grade their submission or the X in the top-left corner to return to the Grade Details area.
If you are ready for students to see their grades and they have not been automatically posted, make sure to click Post Individual Grade or click on the paper airplane icon for the assessment column after exiting the Grade Details panel .
