All NSCC Blackboard course sites are unavailable to students by default. Instructors need to make it available in order for enrolled students to access it.
Lock Icon
In your Blackboard course site, locate the lock icon at the top-right of your browser window (to the left of Edit Mode).
Click on the lock icon. An open lock means the course is available to students. A closed lock means the course is not available to students.
Via Control Panel
Alternatively, you can also follow the steps below for making the course available to your students.
In your Blackboard course site, from the Control Panel (the course menu to the left), expand the Customization section and click Properties.
On the next screen, scroll down to the “Set Availability” section and select Yes to make the course available.
Note: We recommend that you select Yes instead of Use Term Availability. Term Availability is set to the last day of classes and will close your course site that day (even though your students might still need access to finish up the course).
Click Submit to enable your students to see and access your course shell.
