Over 70 popular and frequently used apps that have been vetted by the district can be found in the NPS Filewave App Portal kiosk. Accessing apps through this kiosk is faster and more convenient than using the App Store or iTunes Store, and you will not have to use your Apple ID to install these apps. Students can install these apps on their device.
On an iPad, swipe to the screen where the Filewave icon is showing, and tap on the icon. Scroll through the available apps, then tap on an app you would like to install. Read the description, then click on the Install button.
On a MacBook, click on the NPS icon (a blue "N") in the top of the desktop window. Select Install Software... Click the Install button to the right of the program you wish to install. Some program, such as Garageband, iMovie, and Microsoft Office may take over an hour to install, depending upon your wifi speed.
If you cannot find an app you want in the App Portal kiosk, or if an app is going to be purchased with district money - not your personal purchase - it should be requested by submitting an IncidentIQ Instructional Resource Request. Purchased apps will be pushed to the appropriate iPads and managed at the district level.
