1. Can I show a movie in my class? Can my students use music in a presentation? Can I make enough copies for all my students to have a copy? Where can I find answers to copyright and fair use questions?
- Ask your school site teacher librarian.
- Go to the Copyright, Fair Use, & Plagiarism web page.
- To show a video, complete the Request for Viewing Film and Video Formats form, a Google form that must be used by teachers when a video is over 15 minutes in length. The form requires you to get principal permission for use of videos over 15 minutes in length.
2. Can I post the names of the students with this picture on my teacher website? What about other district policies, like policies about using the Internet?
- Talk to the webmaster/media liason at your school site.
- Read the NPS BOE Policies 2003-3 Internet and Computer Use by Employees, and 2003-8 Website Use and Development.
3. What is the Intelligent Classroom and how will I learn more?

5. What if I am missing textbooks or other instructional materials?
- Ask your colleagues what the textbook or instructional material looks like and /or where it might be in your school.
- If you still cannot find it, send a list to your principal in an email. Include your name, grade, name of material and how many you need.

- Go to the NPS Home Page and select your school and click on the Library 24/7 icon. Click on Symbaloo Online Resources or Online Resources & Databases.

10. What if I want to develop a guided inquiry unit, or co-teach with my teacher librarian?
- Simply set up a planning meeting with your teacher librarian. Bring the standards/concepts you want to teach.
- Visit the NPS Guided Inquiry Learning Community website for guided inquiry resources.
11. How do I get a NPS library card and what does it do for me?

- You do not need your card to use materials in your school library learning commons. Your card does allow you to use materials from any branch of the Pioneer Library System.
