Being a Black woman is a beautiful experience, but unfortunately I’ve been constantly denied through several social encounters just because of my racial identity. However, that frustration makes me realize I can reclaim myself through the superpower of filmmaking. Most of my work has been about my personal exploration of life and the importance of hearing voices that aren’t always heard.

Grammie Jo
A short film about a very happy phone call conversation. Within this film the main character Jo Price is asked about the happiest time in her life. Revealing such personal memories shows the importance of not letting fear or doubt consume us during this pandemic, but to go within ourselves and reflect. Creating this film not only follows my belief has an artist, but enables me to have such a sentimental piece.
