My name is Lauren Clements, and I would describe my style as taking a deeper looking into the human experience. I love capturing candid images and videos of my friends and my surroundings. When it comes to making films, I really focus on how the human body expresses itself. I enjoy taking most of my time on the visual aesthetic of my films, but I also deeply appreciate sound design and recording of my music, as all of my films include my own recorded and produced music. I also enjoy stills in the film aspect father than digital and really connect with old-fashioned ways when producing my art.

This was the first piece I was proud of making, and it made it into the 2020 UMBRA Creative Writing Zine. BLOOM will always hold a special place in my heart. It represents how I visualize myself and how much my friends affect me in my life, allowing me to BLOOM into myself. Although it is a self portrait, I am not pictured in it. I am represented by a lonely piece of clay.

Nighttime Oracle
Nighttime Oracle is Hazel Bordagary's poem driven my visuals. Hazel's words are complimented with a story about two girls. A young girl has an unknown problem, and she asks the oracle for her wisdom and guidance. Once the oracle finds that her problem cannot be solved on its own, she sends the young girl away to fix the problem on her own.
