I want my art to be a mix of my childhood and my current life. Art can tell stories about things that in reality are invisible; like memories, that are usually confined to a person's mind. My style is used to bring a child-like and nostalgic feel to balance out the scary things I often focus on. Using naive and innocent imagery reminiscent of childhood -when everything is good & you are carefree - is a means to make the scary stuff seem less daunting, to disarm it and make fun of it. I want my art to evoke a feeling of anticipation and wonder. I want my overall message to be: don't be afraid and appreciate the little things.
