As leader of the Instructional Technology Department and a leader in the district, the IT Director must be mindful of the vision and long-term goals of the Technology Division. This includes knowledge of and familiarity with the Long Range Technology Plan and the department initiatives that support it.
As leader of the Instructional Technology Department and a leader in the district, the IT Director must be mindful of the vision and long-term goals of the Technology Division. This includes knowledge of and familiarity with the Long Range Technology Plan and the department initiatives that support it.
As IT Director, I supported the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Long Range Technology Plan and Instructional Technology initiatives by:
Meeting with Technology Division leadership regularly to report on progress and assess needed of the district
Working with the Coordinator of Instructional Technology to continually assess the needs of student and teachers in the district
Collaborating with Curriculum and Instruction and other district staff to accomplish implementation of long term goals and initiatives
Supporting, providing feedback, and creating resources for district technology initiatives, such as learning management system operation, Google Suite use and integration, mobile classroom management, NISD Responsible Use Policy, ethical use of Generative AI solutions, student device upkeep, etc.
Helping provide meaningful, relevant opportunities for all learners to engage in collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking while increasing digital literacy
Helping provide a foundation of leadership, administration, and services that support exceptional teaching and learning through the integration of technology
