This is our annual district-wide student showcase event that the IT Team hosts and runs every year. This event takes submissions from student presentations across the district and brings over 1000+ students to one site on the last Thursday in February to present and showcase authentic learning in their classes. Stakeholders of all sorts show up for and participate in this event, including administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members. This event takes a large amount of planning and some of those specific planning items, such as building and updating the website, reaching out to community members, finding sponsors, building the schedule, assigning rooms, and making sure Expo runs smoothly, falls on the Director's shoulders. Check out some artifacts from Expo 2018 show below, and be sure to visit the NISD Expo website to learn more about the current year's event.

I created and used this spreadsheet as a checklist of duties as the Instructional Technologist at the host campus for Techno Expo this past year. This helped me to plan ahead and ensure all responsibilities were addressed before the event started. It also helped me stay organized and acted as a reference to other documentation for the event.
Northwest High School students in National Honor Society served as volunteers for this past year's techno Expo. I created a Signup Genius page for the event and used it to assign duties to the volunteers. I also met with the students prior to the event to encourage participation and again the day of to explain duty assignments to them.
This year I helped create and facilitate the student sign-in procedure for the Northwest High School annual Big Event service day. This involved the modification of existing structures for signing up volunteers (form to the right), the creation of spreadsheets and equations to streamline sign-in procedures, and my presence the day of in order to oversee and troubleshoot any issues while signing in the 500+ student volunteers.
