The PRIDES Service is designed to help busy GP staff identify patients eligible for our portfolio studies as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Each study will have a Lead RRDN. Lead RRDNs will work with Study CIs to set up the research study or clinical trial locally or nationally. As part of these discussions the Lead RRDN will help the CI to develop a Health Informatic (HI) to help identify and engage potentially eligible patients.
Lead RRDNs will need to work closely with GP Partner Practices to test and quality assure the master HI development.
Supporting RRDNs will also need to test the HI and potentially develop a local only version. They should engage local GP Partner Practices to do this.
Many RRDN regions run Research Site Initiatives (RSI) or Sessional Scheme funding for General Practices to support study feasibility, HI quality assurance activities and to help them support the delivery of NIHR studies.
Lead RRDNs are responsible for creating a user guides to explain how to download and share the Health Informatics for their GP Practice Sites as well as other RRDN GP Practices. This also acts as an assurance for study teams to explain how the HI has been written.
