Neurographic ART- More photos coming soon...
Neurographic art has been used as a healing aid for everything from stress relief, anxiety, chronic pain, and grief among many more. This art making method is designed to bring forth awareness and mindfulness. This awareness and mindfulness can turn stress into calm. Students were then asked to think of something that they feel stressed or anxious about or maybe just a concern or challenge they wish to find peace with. For some students, I asked them to think of a word or positive affirmation or quote that works for them. They were then encouraged to draw curving organic lines as they thought about their word, affirmation or challenge.
Students were shown how to round out the corners of their lines and then asked to include textures or pattern in three or more sections to create movement and unity. Students were then able to start colouring with watercolour paint or coloured pencils.
