Chase's artwork is imaginative and creative using a primary colour scheme. The iris of this dragon really stands out with the way he added value and depth to the dragon eye. He used opposing shades of blue. Great Job!

Levi works independently, works hard and stays on task produces quality results. Another great example of using complimentary colours, blue and orange. The reflection shows some transparency over the eye which is not easy to do. Well done!

Gio has a clear vision for their artwork and imagines possible next steps in making their piece. The shapes, colours and values in this eye really draw attention to detail. Really Nice!

Ellison has done an amazing job adding depth to the iris of this eye and the placement of highlights and reflections really bring it to life. Super!

Raine is being recognized for the amount of time spent on this fun clay pizza box. Raine made a paper model to estimate size and spent a lot of time smoothing the clay fitting the lid to the box. Raine had to improvize a few things while working on this piece emphasizing her artist choices. Exellent job! 

Brooklynn is being recognized for her paint blending skills while also making good artist choices with colour, texture, and background. Well Done! 

Daisy is being recognized for diligently working on this piece, carving and smoothing the clay to a professional level. The amount of time spent to create the texture of the snake skin is amazing. Fantastic! 

Abbygale did an amazing job shaping and smoothing her pinch pot mug. Abbygale took a risk with the placement of the flower, but was successful and turned out beautiful. Awesome! 

Cara is being recognized for the amount of detail in this clay sculpture. Each berry was pressed by hand to create the texture on the sides. Even the painting of the sculpture has lots of depth and value with shadows and highlights. Excellent work! 

Sheldon is being recognized for his work with this colour theory portrait. Sheldon worked diligently on the proportions using a gridding method. The way that he broke up each section into different monochramtic squares makes this portrait extra special. Sheldon this work is exemplary. Well done! 

Tia is being recognized for the realisim in this piece. Careful observation of highlights, colour and shape are evident. Excellent work! 

Lia is being recognized her amazing clay relief tile. The shape of the tile is unique, the asymetrical balance, the strong complimentary colour scheme, and the attention to every detail including the the leaves and feathers. Well done! 

Maddie worked very hard on these two pieces. First the mug vase in the shape of a flower and the paper flower bouquet created as her free-choice project. Maddie she be recognized for her willingness to research, her focus and execution of each flower.

Lilly is being recognized for finally completing this piece. The analogous colour theory chosen for this piece work really well with a range of warm yellows to green. Good job for getting sticking it out despite the late start. The level of depth with shadow and highlight should also be acknowledged.  

Evan is being recognized for his creativity and willingness to experiment with different media and techniques. Evan also displays wonderful artistic behaviour in class and sets a great example to others in the class. Super! 

Hartley is being recogized for his effort and focus on this piece. The value range is fabulous and the textures he created are spectacular. Hartley displays fine artisitic skill and behaviour and is great role model in class to his peers.

Sphie was willing to put in extra time outside of class to ensure that her work is completed on time. Sophie also demonstrated her willingness to experiment with two mediums, watercolour and coloured pencil, to create amazing depth into this art history piece. Well Done!

Tyson is being recognized for his efforts in Art 9. Tyson was always willing to try new things and was open to implementing some advice when he asked for feedback. Tyson was helpful towards his peers and the teacher. Great example good artistic behaviour. 

Tia has demonstrated that she can take risks and try new media, styles or techniques and has a willingness to listen to and implement advice. Tia worked extra hard at creating depth using 1-point perspective.

Deliyla created a piece of artwork that conveys a clear idea, feeling, and a  personal meaning. This piece deserves recognition for the many details, the contrast of values and the many shading techniques including stippling, contour line and blending.

Caitlin works independently and stays on task demonstrates hard work and produces quality results. Caitlin did an excellent job blending her values and creating beautiful contrast. The simple vignette used to activate the background helps to really bring the subject life. 

Jacob is an inquisitive learner who enjoys analyzing situations and making new discoveries. Jacob is experimenting with texture and colour for his series in Art 30.
