It is obvious that students, teachers will all feel happy, okay, sad, angry at different times and for different reasons. Reasons could be lots of things. For example: Student can be happy because of parent, friend, teacher and many other reason. A student can share the reason to a consulted person/counselor at the school if student want to. Similary other staff members at school can also share.
Based on the inputs given by teachers/students it will be helpful for Counselor or a consulted person to identify situations that make students/teachers/other staff in school differently and learn how to address their problem and help when they are not feeling okay.
It is important to know how students/teachers at School feel,
1. What kinds of things could make students/teachers feel ?
2. When students/teachers feel sad, How do they act? What can school do to help?
3. What are some things Students can do to feel themselves feel better when they’re sad/angry?
4. Who can a student talk to when feeling sad/angry?
Below are the few things that help when one is not feeling okay
1. Talk to a trusted person at school/counselor about what’s bothering you
2. Tell yourself encouraging things
3. Read a good book at the library
4. Draw something colorful
5. Play sport at leisure
6. Find something to laugh about with a friend/friends
As schools reopen, it’s important that precautions are taken both inside and outside the classroom to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Understanding COVID-19, how it spreads and how we can protect ourselves and others is an important first step in establishing classroom procedures and protocols. Students need to understand what it is in order for them to follow the rules.
Medical masks are essential personal protective equipment. Respirator masks (such as FFP2, FFP3, N95, N99) can be worn to prevent the spread. For COVID-19, a high fever can be a presenting symptom. It is important to note the body temperatures of all who enters school, parent, student, staff regularly. It is recommended to see the doctor immedietly if the body temperature is higher than 101°F.
It is important to establish rules in accordance with the procedures and protocols of COVID-19. Below are some protective measures from WHO
1. Clean your hands often
2. Cough or sneeze in your bent elbow - not your hands
3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
4. Limit social gatherings and time spent in crowded places
5. Avoid close contact with someone who is sick
6. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
7. Make wearing a mask a normal part of being around other people.
Stppeify helps in recording feeling of students/staffs and the reasons. School can set the options to record for covid and happiness by going to School options and setting Get happiness status and get covid status as yes. It can be optional or mandatory as per school's protocols and can be collected twice(pre and post-class) or once(pre-class) daily.
Stppeify asks how one is feeling and whether one or anyone in their family is unwell or symptoms like cold, fever based on the options set by School
To Enter click on the tasks button in the footer
Choose how you are feeling, Exited, Happy, OK, Sad, Angry, Scared, None of the above.
You can share why you are feeling if you want to
If you have symptoms like cold, fever, you can share your body temperature and tell about the symptoms.
Login to stppeify as an Admin or counselor
Go to options in the navigation bar
Click on Happy/Covid and choose happiness report
Hit run report button and select date range from and to, type and state of feeling and click get report to see the report.
Report can be filtered based on ID, name, type, registered date, time, class, symptoms, temperature and information
To download the report as CSV/excel file, click on download data button.
Login to stppeify as counselor
Go to options in the navigation bar
Click on Happy/Covid and choose Happy dashboard
Click on Run to know the school happiness trend -Student and staff
Click on Class summary, class detail report to check the class-wise happiness trend
To check for staff or student, click on Run for staff/student
Make sure to refresh data before checking any report
