FAQs

Why the Ramblers?

When Siegfried was originally established as a women's residence hall in 1988, they were called the Siegfried Slammers. When Flanner and Grace Halls closed in 1998, the newly moved-in men elected to change the name to the Ramblers as a tribute to our football team's old nickname during the days of Knute Rockne in the early 1900's.

Who is Siegfried's sister dorm? What does this mean?

Siegfried's sister dorms for the 2023-2024 academic year will be Pasquerilla West Hall, located directly adjacent to Siegfried, and Farley Hall, on North Quad, next to North Dining Hall. The "sister dorm" designation essentially means that Siegfried and the sister dorm will host events together throughout the school year.
