4.5) Canonical Experiment Interactions

Interaction Details in Canonical Experiment Lifecycle

The following diagram shows the main stages of an Experimenter's use of AERPAW.  This diagram should be considered in conjunction with the diagrams on the "1.2) Main Entites and Interactions" page.  We also use some terminology introduced in Sections 1.3 and 1.4 in the rest of this section.

In this diagram, we show the various steps in which we have decomposed the interactions that occur in this lifecycle.  Subsections of this page describe some of these steps.

Step 1 (Register and Supply Credentials) is not described under this section, because it is already described under Section 4.4) Common Interactions.

The same is true of the first part of Step 2 (Create Experiment) .

Steps {3-5, 9-14, 16-19} are also not detailed; these steps are undertaken in the background by AERPAW Ops and the automated AERPAW Platform Control system: they are completely transparent to the User.  They are shown in this diagram to help AERPAW Experimenters understand the bigger picture of the user-programmed but batch-executed testbed discipline.
