Beginning September 1, 2025, all newly created experiments will follow an updated lifecycle policy to ensure efficient use of platform resources:
Inactivity Deactivation: If an experiment is not accessed or logged into for 14 consecutive days, it will be deactivated. The user will have to click "Initiate Development" again to activate their experiment.
Experiment Expiration: Each experiment will expire three (3) months from its creation date unless the user emails the AERPAW operations team (aerpaw-operations@ncsu.edu) to extend the date. We are working to automate this process so users can extend the date themselves from the portal.
These measures are being introduced to improve resource availability, system performance, and fairness for all users. We'd like to encourage you to plan accordingly by monitoring your experiments, logging in regularly if you need to keep them active, and saving any critical data well before the expiration date.
If you have questions or anticipate challenges with these changes, please contact the AERPAW support team at aerpaw-operations@ncsu.edu .
Thank you for your cooperation and for being an active member of the AERPAW community.
