AERPAW Overview

Welcome to the AERPAW User Manual website!!  AERPAW is the first wireless research platform envisioned and built to allow studying the convergence of advanced wireless technologies (such as 5G) and autonomous drones.  This User Manual is your one-stop reference as an AERPAW User.

• • You can access all the individual pages from the navigation bar on the left. 

  • Alternatively, you can use the "Search" feature at the top right of the page to search for specific content in the user manual. 

  • We have a self-paced tutorial portal ( https://tutorial-portal.aerpaw.ncsu.edu/ ), a hands-on training space to explore, practice, and build confidence before using the production AERPAW portal. This environment allows new users to experiment safely and learn at their own pace, helping them become familiar with AERPAW’s tools, workflows, and experiment setup process without the fear of "breaking things". With the same look and feel as the production portal. 

  • Current or prospective AERPAW Users can contact the AERPAW team at aerpaw-contact@ncsu.edu for general queries. For anything related to experimentation and operations, please contact aerpaw-operations@ncsu.edu.

  • Users can also post questions, answers, or discussions on the AERPAW Users Email Forum, by joining the email forum at group-aerpaw-users@ncsu.edu (see Section 3.2 for further details).  

  • A quick overview of AERPAW's outdoor infrastructure, supported software, bring-your-own-device (BYOD) support, and supported spectrum bands are provided below.
