For this session, you will watch the recorded webinar Firm Goals and Construct Relevance provided by Katie Novak. While viewing this video, be thinking about the term construct relevance and how that relates to formative/summative assessments in your classroom. and, how your knowledge of different types of standards will impact planning lessons/formative/summative assessments.
This session does not have a guided note taking sheet, please feel free to create one of your own to document your learning. You reflection at the end of this course will ask you about firm goals and contruct relevance, different types of standards, and one step you could take to redesign an upcoming lesson.

Before you create a choice board, identify 2-3 content standards in your subject area that could be used to guide the options/choices you include on the board.

Lastly, access a blog that outlines how to design a holistic, standards-based rubric that you could use as a guide to determine if the options on the board are construct relevant.These are two free sites where you can make rubrics in less than a minute that are standards-based and aligned to grade-level proficiency outcomes.
