Hui Religion

Hui people are one of the Chinese ethnic groups that are muslims. Like all other muslims around the world, Hui people also follow the Islamic rules.

• The Hui people must maintain six major beliefs:

1. Belief in Allah. They believe Allah is the only god, creating all things, heaven and earth, sun, moon, stars, and everything that dominates the universe.
2. Believe in that Muhammad is the messenger. Hui people often say, "All things are not the Lord, only Allah; Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah."
3. Believe in the Celestial God. Celestial gods are the gods created by God with light, who belong to the world category of the wonderful world. They have no sex, no age, and people do not worship them.
4. Belief in the scriptures. It means that Hui people believe in the Qur'an. They also respect and study The Hadith, a record of Muhammad's words and deeds.
5. Belief in rebirth. Hui people believe that the whole universe and all its life will eventually be destroyed one day, and then Allah will resurrect all life.
6. Belief in predestination. Hui people believe that a person's live is decided by the God before his or her birth.

• In addition, Hui people often build the mosque, which is the place where the Hui people hold daily five o'clock worship and festival ceremonies. It is also a place for religious education, where imams would teach Hui people the Islamic rules
• It is pretty common to see many Hui people going to Mecca for pilgrimage.
