DO NOT take apart appliances that are plugged in (remove or cut off plugs)
DO NOT heavily force objects.
If you see GLASS or BATTERIES, STOP!

Items to take apart. Ask your other teachers, visit garage sales or thirft stores (they'll often give it you for free), dumpster dive, encourage students to bring in broken items from home (with parent's permission)
