College disciplinary action applies to conduct that adversely affects the pursuit of the College's educational objectives and mission and values. The College retains the right to pursue charges through the campus conduct system regardless of whether charges are concurrently pending through local civil or criminal authorities. At Mount Aloysius College, any behavior that violates the expectations of the college is subject to disciplinary action. 

(NOTE: In cases of violation of any federal, state or local laws, the student has the right to notify the appropriate federal, state or local authorities to initiate proceedings. The College may, however, proceed with its case against the accused even though the legal process has yet to begin.)
