Bayer Leverkusen is currently 1st place in the Bundesliga (the German soccer league) under manager Xabi Alonso. The surprising underdogs are undefeated in every competition and have only drawn two times in the German Bundesliga.  

There’s always somebody who is the best in each sport. The most home runs, the most yards gained, the amount of baskets made, and more. First, I'm going to focus on people’s opinions when it comes to this touchy topic. 

La Liga 23-24 (the Spanish soccer league) has been quite a ride so far. At the beginning of the season, expectations were high for star-studded teams like Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. But despite this, the team that sits at tied top of the league is the Catalan Girona FC. Atletico Madrid is clearly off the title, and Barcelona has been plagued with inconsistencies. Let’s go over this La Liga season so far.

Rangers pitcher Josh Sborz is on the mound. If he throws a strike, the Texas Rangers will lift the World Series crown, and the Diamondbacks will burst into heartbreak. He throws the ball into the strike zone…the Texas Rangers erupted into celebration! Despite this historic win taking place in the Diamondbacks stadium, the Rangers fans in the stadium erupted into cheers.

The MS447 basketball teams launched with a great start! (Date: 1/31/2024) With the varsity team at 6 wins and only 1 loss, JV at 8 wins and once again only 1 loss, and the girls' team sitting at 3 wins and 3 loses, but with a game coming up on Friday, February 2nd, they are looking forward to making it 4 wins. I’ve interviewed 3 people all on each team about the team's progress and they all responded with some positive comments.

Soccer tryouts in the beginning of the year came around the corner and kicked an amazing and fun tryout right into the goal!  Soccer tryouts was a game played in a tournament form (except the winning team doesn’t rank up at all and all the teams played the same amount of games) played on concrete with about 6 kids on each team and around 31 people in total, but only a total of 19 people made the team...

The 2022 MLB regular season has come to an end, and we are now in the postseason. The regular season has had some memorable moments, and many other people can agree. “It’s been super fun to watch, the games have been a blast, and I can’t wait for next season,” 7th grader Andy Goodman said during an interview.
