Who Is The Best Player in Each Sport?
By Malcolm Prior Roberts
There’s always somebody who is the best in each sport. The most home runs, the most yards gained, the amount of baskets made, and more. First, I'm going to focus on people’s opinions when it comes to this touchy topic.
According to Aidan Kennedy in 706, “Messi is the best player in soccer. He just has so many trophies, both individual trophies and team trophies.” This is definitely true, as Lionel Messi has 43 trophies in total.
While soccer is super interesting, let's now focus on a different sport, basketball. Will Duffy from class 706 says that “Nikola Jokic is the best player in basketball right now.” He also said that he saw Jokic play a couple weeks ago and, “he's so tall that he just basically walks through all the defenders. He's insane. When he shoots, he doesn't even have to jump, the ball just goes straight in.” Although Nikola Jokic is the best player right now, he’s not the best player of all time. I asked Will about this and he said, “I mean, I'm going to sound basic with this take, but LeBron James is the best player of all time.” In other words, LeBron James is the G.O.A.T. or Greatest Of All Time.
According to the internet, there is no best basketball player in the world. There is just the best player for each sport. But then, there is the most famous player of all sports, and that person goes by the name of Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo also holds the record for the most Google searches about somebody with a staggering nearly two hundred million searches about him.
This concludes my article and my time sharing things with you, see you next time!
