Soccer tryouts in the beginning of the year came around the corner and kicked an amazing and fun tryout right into the goal! Soccer tryouts was a game played in a tournament form (except the winning team doesn’t rank up at all and all the teams played the same amount of games) played on concrete with about 6 kids on each team and around 31 people in total, but only a total of 19 people made the team. Ari Contreras-Glass from class 705 answered some questions on his experience about the ending tryouts.
“How do you think you did?” I asked Ari,
“I think I did very well,” he replied.
“Do you think you made the team?”
“I think I really did make the team because people told me I did great which gave me confidence.”
“Did you enjoy tryouts?”
“I sort of enjoyed tryouts.”
“Out of everyone there, did you think anyone was better than you?”
“I think 2 kids were better.”
“Final question, why did you want to go tryout?”
“I wanted to try out because I have always enjoyed playing soccer.”
Another person that I have interviewed was Teddy Zilberman from class 601. I asked Teddy the same questions that were asked to Ari and Teddy’s answers were
“I think I made the team because the coach said I did really well.”
“I think I did pretty good.”
“Yes I did, it was fun.”
“About 3 kids were better.” And
“I wanted to try out because I’m on 2 other soccer teams outside of school,” Teddy replied to my questions.
The result also rolled around a week after tryouts. Let’s just say Ari’s and Teddy’s predictions about making the team were right. Soccer tryouts were awesome and even though I didn't interview everyone, everyone there did great! Let's hope it's going to be fun and great for the upcoming school soccer team!
