Paper 1 (試卷一) - Source-based, short answer exam (提供參考文件的簡答筆試) 75 minutes.
Paper 2 (考試 2) - Essay exam, students write two essays on different units of study (作文考試,學生寫兩篇作文) 1 hour 45 minutes (1小時45分鐘)
Internal Assessment - Political Engagement Activity. Students learn about a political issue through research and direct engagement, like attending events and interviewing experts (學生通過研究和直接參與來了解政治問題,例如參加活動和採訪專家)
SL Benefits: Easy Paper 1, eight essay questions to choose from for Paper 2, Internal Assessment is the most difficult part of the course. Lots of development in research, understanding perspectives, and writing. (SL 好處:簡單的考試,內部評估是課程中最困難的部分。 在研究、理解觀點和寫作方面有很多發展)

Two HL Oral Presentations - Students research and prepare two ten-minute presentations on local manifestations of global political challenges (學生研究並準備兩篇10 分鐘的口頭報告,內容關於全球政治議題以及它體現在在一個地區的方式)
Challenges include poverty, environmental issues, border disputes, healthcare, and national security (挑戰包括貧困、環境問題、邊界爭端、醫療保健和國家安全)
A combination of research and direct engagement with individuals and organizations involved in a political issue (是進行研究與直接參與政治議題的結合)
Students have a great deal of freedom to select an issue they care about, or an issue they find interesting (學生有很大的自由選擇他們關心的議題或他們覺得有趣的議題)
It is ideal for the issue to be a local issue or a national issue within Taiwan, but international issues are also acceptable (最好是台灣的地方問題或國家問題,但國際問題也是可以接受的)
Important to understand different points of view on an issue; students do not need to choose a specific "side" (理解對某個問題的不同觀點很重要; 學生不需要選擇特定的 “觀點”)
Teacher supports student research and advises on how to set up political engagements (教師支持學生的研究並對於如何開展政治活動提出建議)
The final report represents students' new understanding and analysis of their chosen political issue (最終報告代表學生對他們選擇的政治問題的新理解和分析)
This task is difficult, but also unlike any other IB assessment (這個任務很難,但也不同於其他任何IB評估)

HL students deliver two presentations, each based on an issue related to one of the following topics (HL 學生進行兩場演講,每場演講都基於與以下主題之一相關的問題)
Poverty (貧困)
Environment (環境)
Health (健康)
National Security (國家安全)
Borders (邊境)
Identity (身份)
Students must use TWO of the above topics (學生必須使用上述主題中的兩個)
The process involves a lot of research, organizing information, and practicing the presentations (這個過程涉及大量的研究、組織信息和練習演示)
Each presentation is worth 10% of the HL student's final score in the DP course (每個演講佔 HL 學生 DP 課程最終成績的 10%)
