DP1 Students: IA Engagements!
Below is the rubric for the HL presentations.
Note that it is a little... vague.
Analyzing the case study "within the wider context of global politics" is REALLY, REALLY important. When making a decision about the issue and case study you want to use, you should consider whether there are other potential case studies that could be used in comparison AND whether this case adequately shows the GLOBAL issue.
Perspectives are difficult to find for some topics; this should also guide your decision-making. There are multiple ways to approach perspective in the presentations...
a. Theoretical perspectives (Realism vs Liberalism)
b. Different 'angles' of approach (looking at human rights Universally vs looking at specific values of a particular culture)
c. Different opinions (commentary on an event or an issue)
And more!
You need to be able to talk about the global challenge, political issue, and case study using the language of global politics.
